Hey there everyone!
Hello to you all! I am so excited to see all of you. I am now open and wanted to let you know your next appointment will be a little different. Your health and safety is my main concern and I will be doing everything I can to provide you a safe environment. I am now only offering Hair Services. I am also unable to take on any new clients at this time.
I have recently completed certification by Barbacide King Laboratories and Lucas-cide, EPA approved and registered solutions for sanitation and disinfection in the salon as well as a recertification health and safety course approved by our State Board of Cosmetology. The salon has been deep cleaned and disinfected, furniture has been rearranged to adhere to social distancing guidelines, sneeze guards and high MPR air filters have been installed as well as signage regarding the required procedures, practices, and social distancing by The State Board of Cosmetology and CDC.
When you come for your appointment, these are the latest required policies and procedures. Please read through them all and follow carefully:
The day of your appointment, please take your temperature and do a self assessment for any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, headache, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, or just feel unwell. If you have any of these, please call to reschedule. There will not be any fees for cancellations due to illness. I will be assessing myself everyday as well. Please arrive with your hair and scalp clean either washed the day of your appointment or the night before regardless of what type of service you are getting. I can also wash it after a haircut prior to it being styled if you wish.
When you arrive for your appointment remain in your car until I call or signal for you to enter the salon. You will then be asked to wash your hands upon entrance and I will have hand sanitizer available. Touch free dispensers have been installed for all soap and hand sanitizer applications. I will be wearing a mask and you are required to wear one as well during your service by State Board. I will have some available for those that don’t have one. We will work with them during your service and remove them when necessary. Every client will have a scheduled appointment prior to arriving at the salon for all hair services. NO WALK-INS ALLOWED FOR ANYTHING OR ADDITIONAL PEOPLE OR CHILDREN. If you don’t have an appointment you will not be permitted to enter the salon. I have updated my service menu, timing and prices to allow extra time for arriving, departing, and disinfecting after each client. I will not be double booking appointments until I see how this system works out and I feel I can do it without putting any client at risk. 1 parent, guardian, or caregiver may accompany a child/children or person for their appointment. If you need products, please call to order them over the phone and schedule a curbside pick-up or request them to be ready at your appointment time.
You may bring a water bottle, book, tablet, phone, and payment in with you since we are not able to provide refreshments, magazines, books, etc. Please only bring in what you absolutely need during your appointment.
All high touch areas such as, stations, chairs, shampoo area, implements, tools, capes, door knobs, bathroom, POS equipment, displays, etc will be cleaned and then disinfected with an EPA approved disinfectant after each client and prior to the next client’s arrival. The salon will get a deep clean at the end of each day.
Also, because of these additional mandates and use of additional personal protection equipment and fixtures, additional time required to perform services and supplies, I am forced to increase salon service prices. The new prices are posted on the salon website. Haircuts will increase $5.00 and chemical services have increased by $10-$20 per service. I will work with anyone if this affects your personal care budget but know there are some things we can do such as stretch out the frequency between appointments, perform limited services such as charging per highlight foil instead of performing a whole head foil, or just wet down and cut pre-washed hair without styling, to lower the cost of your appointment.
